Who we are: Obstetrician Gynecologists in Winnipeg

Dr. Corbett is a generalist Obstetrician Gynecologist who graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2006.  She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba, in Winnipeg.

She is passionate about advocacy for patients and improved quality care, which is why she excels in her roles as Chair of the Women's Health Program Standards Committee and Women's Hospital Medical Manager of Quality. Dr. Corbett is also the Site Lead for Gynecology at the Grace Hospital.  She is a skilled minimally invasive surgeon in laparoscopic hysterectomy and hysteroscopy.  She is an extremely experienced low and high risk obstetrician.  She offers colposcopy services and is committed to providing equitable care.  She is a dedicated teacher and mentor in the residency program and recognizes the need to train residents for the future.

She is an examiner for the Royal College Fellowship Exam.

She is passionate about exercise and loves spending time in nature.  Her family and friends are essential to her work life balance, including her crazy rescue dogs.

Dr. Heather Diamond graduated from medical school at the University of Western Ontario in 1997, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Manitoba in 2002. Her passion as an Obstetrician Gynecologist  is in the management of abnormal uterine bleeding, contraception, menopausal symptoms, infertility, and management of abnormal pap tests. She is a very experienced colposcopist and offers in-office treatment and surveillance of cervical dysplasia. She is a highly skilled minimally invasive surgeon, with focus on laparoscopic and vaginal hysterectomy, and operative hysteroscopy.  

Dr. Diamond is a clinical educator at the University of Manitoba, in Winnipeg, and the past site director of the Grace Hospital, section of Gynecologic Surgery.  She is an active committee member of the Gynecologic Surgery Audit at both Grace Hospital and Women’s Hospital.  She was an examiner for the Royal College Fellowship Examination in Obstetrics and Gynecology for 8 years.  She is also a clinic advisor/mentor for graduating Ob/Gyn residents, helping them transition into practice.

Dr. Diamond has also been providing gynecologic care to Women's Health clinics in remote communities in Northern Manitoba since 2007.  She has a passion for helping underserved communities, ensuring they receive the care they deserve.

She spends her free time at the lake with her husband, 3 boys and her dogs and cat.

Dr. Lee received her medical degree in 1992 and subsequently completed her residency in 1997 in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, both at the University of Manitoba. She has a wealth of experience in a wide spectrum of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is an assistant professor at the University of Manitoba and is actively involved in the education of medical students, residents and allied health personnel.  She was an examiner for the Royal College Fellowship exam for 6 years.  

Dr. Palatnick was born and raised in Winnipeg. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Winnipeg followed by a Doctor of Medicine and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the University of Manitoba. Dr. Palatnick continues to be an active department member through her commitment to teaching both medical students and residents. She routinely has a chief resident under her supervision. She is a member of the Women's Hospital Standards Committee and the Gynecology Audit Committee at Women's and Grace Hospital. She is also an examiner for the Royal College Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

She practices general Obstetrics and Gynecology and is passionate about women’s health in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her areas of interest as an Obstetrician Gynecologist include both low and high risk obstetrics, general gynecology, menopause, contraception and minimally invasive gynecology including laparoscopic hysterectomy.

She has two young boys and enjoys spending time with family at Winnipeg Beach.
